How the RC&D can help You
The RC&D's mission is to support and foster strong small-scale farms. We have five main avenues we focus on in our daily work:
1) Apprenticeships: We provide paid apprenticeship opportunities at our farms to train new farmers in agronomy, business and conservation.
2) Marketing and Business Assistance: Trying to grow your business? We recently received a grant to help farmers create branding, brochures and more! (all assistance is provided for free!)
3) Training seminars: Every six weeks or so, we host a free business & marketing development seminar featuring a small-farmer success story. Afterwards, if you need individualized assistance, we are happy to provide it for free! As we continue to get funding our topics will grow. More info at www.FarmerTraining.org
4) Free advertising: After a few years of running our apprenticeship farms, we have found our market to be those consumers looking for certified organic products. If you have certified organic produce, let us know! We will advertise it for free in our newsletter or allow you to sell your products at the farms. Please contact us ASAP because we are looking for you and so are our members!
5) Local Food Buying Club: We are always looking for producers to join our Buying Club. Consumers order once a month and then pickup at one of our three locations. Interested? Email Logan. Or for more information, click here.
