To Join the Florida West Coast RC&D Local Food Buying Club
We are on hold with and transitioning to a new format for the buying club
We hope to have this available again by October 2012
The Local Food Buying Club is a membership club that brings community members together with locally grown or produced goods. Members can purchase items like free-range meat, gulf caught seafood, eggs, soap, sauerkraut, and other products directly from local Florida farmers and small businesses. The club provides convenience for the members to pick-up the orders at a chosen central location instead of driving to the individual farms or businesses. Members place orders once a month and pick up the following week.
Who can join?
Anyone in the community can join. Current membership at the farm is not necessary.
How often do I order & pickup?
Once a month. We will send out an email when we know is available from the local farms and businesses and you will be able to place your order online. There are limited quantities of everything, so please order quickly. Payment/Deposit is due at time of ordering.
Where & when do I pickup?
Pickups are usually on Wednesdays. We give pickup options each month. You can pick one of three locations: our office in Ellenton, Gamble Creek Farm in Parrish or Geraldson Community Farm in Bradenton.
What if I know a farmer or local business that would like to list products?
Have them contact our office 941-981-0111 or email.
